From 1st April 2015, GP Practices are required to provide a named accountable GP to all patients, rather than just the over 75. Your named GP will have overall responsibility for the care and support that our surgery provides to you. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do.
If you are a new patient, you will receive a letter informing you of your Named GP. We will be informing existing patients of their named GP on ad-hoc basis on contact with the practice (the doctor listed on your prescription is your named GP) However, if you wish to have this information sooner please ask a member of staff when you are next at the surgery.
Patients over 75 will automatically continue to receive a letter informing of their named GP.
