Patient notice-missed appointments

In July total of 407 appointments were missed by patients. This include 230 GP appointments, 129 nurse appointments and 48 HCA appointments. We would like toask All patients to inform us if they no longer  need the appointment or cannot attend. This will allow us to allocate these appointments to other patients who need to see a clinician. You can cancell or rebook your appointment on line (please scroll down to the bottom of this page alternatively visit appointment section), via phone or face to face at reception. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Minor Injury service available at Hucknall Road Medcial Centre

Hucknall Road Medical Centre offers a Minor Injury service which includes minor trauma to head, hands,limbs and feet. A minor injury is defined as a trauma that has occured within the last 48 hours and can be treated immediately without the requirement for an Xray. Put patients first campaign:back general practice.

Hucknall Road Medical Centre is supporting the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and the National Association for Patient Participation(N.A.P.P) campaign to improve patient care-and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Your help will be vital to reversing the decline in resources invested in general practice so that GPs can deliver the improvements to care we want to achieve. We need your ideas and involvement so that together we can make a difference to patient care. You can help us by:

  • signing up as a campaign supporter on the Put patients first:Back general practice website, to receive news and updates about campaign
  • write to your local Member of Parliament (MP) using the online tool on the campaign website to tell them about the campaign and ask for their support.

On line repeat prescription service is now available.

You can now order your repeat prescription on line. You can log on to the service using the link at the bottom of this page, alternatively please go to prescriptions section on the website. To obtain your log in details,please speak to our friendly receptionists who will be happy to assist. Please note you will be required to present a valid photo ID to obtain log in details.

 

Travel Vaccinations

There is currently a national shortage of Typhoid Injection. The oral vaccination is in short supply and is more complicated to administer. It has to be given in 3 doses and cannot be given to children under 6 years. If you are planning to travel to an area which may require vaccination, please book your Travel Clinic appointment at leat 6 weeks prior to travel to enable us to determine how you can be optimally protected.
