The NHS Friends and Familt Test- We need your help!!!
From 1 November we will be asking you, our patients, about your experience of our services. This will allow us to learn more about what you like and what you think we could improve. We will be gathering your views via comment cards, on line survey and text messages and will be publicising the results at the reception, on the website and in our quarterly newsletter.

We look forward to receiving your comments and thank you in anticipation.
Patient Notice- Ebola virus alert
There is an on-going outbreak of Ebola virus affecting countries in West Africa.Countries currently affected by the disease are Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
If you have travelled to any of those countries within last 21 days or have been in physical contact with somebody returning from that area, please do not come to the reception but ring the surgery on 0115 960 6652 to book your appointment.
It remains unlikely , but not impossible, that travellers infected in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone or Nigeria could arrive in the UK while incubating the disease and develop symptoms after their return.
If you have fever of more than 38C or have a history of fever in the past 24hrs and have recently visited any of the above countries or have been in physical contact with a person who have recently returned from that area, please DO NOT VISIT YOUR GP SURGERY OR WALK IN CENTRE and DIAL 111.
EPS - Electronic Prescribing System
From 28.01.2015 the practice will be going live with EPS. A new system for prescriptions which allows electronic prescriptions to be sent to a nominated pharmacy of your choice.
Please click here for more information and how to sign up to the new service.
GP2GP record transfers
From April 2014 all GP practices are required to utilise the GP2GP facility for the transfer of patient Electronic Health Record (EHR) between practices, when a patient registers or de-registers. The facility allows for the records to be transferred faster and more secure than the current paper-based method.
Hucknall Road Medical Centre has been using this service to transfer records to other practices that are using SystmOne and we are now working towards implementing new functionality to enable us to transfer records to practices using different clinical system to ours ie. EMIS. We are hoping to achieve this by 31 March 2015 and we will be keeping patients informed of the progress via our website, quarterly newsletter and noticeboards in the reception.
For more infromation on the record transfer please click here.
Patient access to their medical records
We are also currently putting in place a facility for patients to view online, export and/or print any summary information from their records ie. medications, allergies, adverse reactions and any additional information agreed between the GP and the patient. We are aiming for a Go live date of no later than 31 March 2015 and we will communicate the progress via our website, quarterly newsletter and infromation boards in the reception.
Ever struggled to get an appointment?
In December total of 505 appointments were NOT ATTENDED by patients. This include 342 GP appointments, 120 nurse appointments and 43 HCA appointments.
If you cannot attend or no longer need the appointment, please let us know. This will allow us to allocate your slot to other patients who need to see a clinician. You can cancell or re-book your appointment on line (please scroll down to the bottom of this page alternatively visit appointment section of the website), via phone, sms or face to face at reception.
Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
