Staff News and Named GP information
We recently said goodbye to Dr Anne Gilbert who retired at the end of June. She has worked at Hucknall Road Medical Centre for over 12 years. It was very sad to see her go but we wish her all the best in the future. On a happier note Dr Wilson Chin has joined us as a salaried GP. You may have seen him over the last 12 months as he has been working as a locum however we are delighted that he is now a permanent member of the team.
As you are aware, all patients have been allocated a named GP. Dr Gilbert's patients will be allocated to Dr Chin unless previously discussed. If you would like more informed about named gp please click here
We wish to inform you that we will no longer be holding clinics on a weekend at this practice. This was a pilot which will end on the 30th June. This means, from 30th June we will no longer be able to offer appointments at the weekend.
NHS Nottingham City CCG* would like your feedback on whether you attended the weekend clinics and your thoughts about these. Surveys will be available from our reception from 15 June.
In line with new national guidance NHS Nottingham City CCG* is looking to offer additional appointments to see a GP or a Nurse in the evenings and at weekends at different locations across the City. This will be available to all Nottingham City patients. Your feedback in the surveys will support the CCG when designing this new service.
We will share more information with you when this is available.
Should you need to contact the CCG directly about this please contact the Patient Experience Team on 0115 883 9570 or via email at: email@example.com

Join Dementia Research is a new service that helps people to take part in dementia research studies.
It aims to accelerate the pace of dementia research by allowing people with and without dementia to register their interest in studies, helping researchers find the right participants at the right time.
The Join Dementia Research website offers a secure and easy way for someone to register their interest, discover studies that interest them, and ultimately connect with researchers to take part in their studies.
Anyone aged 18 years or over can sign up themselves, or on behalf of someone else, either by registering online or by contacting the helplines of Alzheimer’s Research UK (0300 111 5 111) and Alzheimer’s Society (0300 222 1122).
Join Dementia Research is a collaboration between the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), Alzheimer’s Research UK, Alzheimer’s Society, Alzheimer Scotland and UCL Partners, and has been funded by the Department of Health and NHS England.
