Repeat Prescriptions
If you receive regular treatment, you can complete the repeat slip attached to your last prescription or put your request in writing ensuring that you put your name, address and date of birth on the letter.  We regret we cannot accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone. 

Requests received at the practice will usually be ready within 48 hours (excluding Bank Holidays & Weekends).  Because morning surgeries are especially busy we request that repeat prescriptions are picked up after 2:00pm where possible.  Additionally, if you are phoning to enquire if your prescription is ready, we also request this call is made after 2:00pm.

You can post your prescription request to the surgery and if a stamp addressed envelope is enclosed we will return it to you.  Please ensure you leave enough time to account for the post.

You will notice on the bottom of repeat slips a review date, you will need an appointment with a nurse around this time if you normally see a nurse for the monitoring of your condition, otherwise the appointment would need to be with a doctor. 
  
 
Pharmacy
There is a pharmacy next door to Hucknall Road Medical Centre, open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 6:30pm.

  
 
Paying NHS Prescription Charges
Anyone who has to pay for and gets more than 4 prescription items in 3 months, or 14 in 12 months, could save money with a Pre-Payment Certificate (PPC).
