Sick notes

Sick notes are not issued for the first 7 days of absence from work, this is self certificated and these forms are available from your employer.  If you are still unwell after 7 days you will need an appointment with a doctor who will issue you with a sick note if there is a medical need for one.
 
If your employer requires a sick note for the first 7 days this would be a private sick note and a fee of £10 is payable for this.
